Chip followed his father and uncle into their business, called Roach Brothers Realtors, over 37 years ago after graduating from the University of Notre Dame. He sold homes in the area for 10 years. His grandfather was also a real estate broker in Philadelphia in the 1920's.
The firm now has over 3,200 sales associates in 56 offices in three states. Over 37,000 brokerage transactions were accomplished last year. The Trident Group of financial services companies is the most effective affiliated business group in the USA. More than 39,000 transactions were accomplished in the past 12 months.
His industry positions have included officerships in four major referral networks and service on the board of a major relocation management firm. He led the Genesis Network of over 25,000 sales associates as its Chairman in 1993.
Chip is currently an officer of both the Employee Relocation Council's Coalition and his regional MLS (TReND), and a director of two state associations as well as the National Association of Realtors. He serves as a founding member of "Large Firm Advisory Councils" for the National Association of Realtors and two state associations.
As a community activist, Chip has served as Chair of the Board of Rosemont College, the local Chamber of Commerce and is currently the President of the firm's charitable foundation, Fox and Roach/Trident Charities. This arm of the company has donated over $1,300,000 to organizations involved with children and housing issues in the past 8 years.
He has been married to his wife, Nancy, for 40 years. Chip has a son and a daughter in the business with him; his other son is a furniture maker in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. There are also five grandchildren brightening his life.
At the end of 2003, his decades long stake in the ownership of the company was liquidated in a buyout of his interests by several of the partners in the firm. He continues to serve the firm to enable its continued growth and to broaden his national consulting practice for real estate business owners and leaders throughout the USA.

Board Vice Chair

Gary L. DeSanto, 37, is a native of Philadelphia and has been with DeSanto Realty Group since 1995, serving as its President since 2000. Since 2000, DRG has had an average gross rental collection of more than $1,000,000 per year and has been involved in more than 200 real estate transactions, either as a principal or consultant.
From 2000-2002, he was also a partner in a residential mortgage brokerage firm, Aston Financial. Prior to joining DRG, he founded, and for eight years operated, his own carpet cleaning business, Imperial Carpet Cleaners, which was under contract for cleaning-related warranty claims in the Philadelphia region for DuPont, 3M, Peco Energy and most major carpet mills.
Mr. DeSanto spends his leisure time coaching and serving as a board member for local youth teams, attending sporting events, including Philadelphia Eagles and Philadelphia Phillies games, and spending time with his wife and three children.

Ed Clemons is a results oriented Human Resource Leader. He has a proven track record of strong strategic leadership, effective change management skills, and a mastery of critical HR functions. He has demonstrated the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization. Ed has developed a unique blend of strategic skills and hands-on abilities honed through success in diverse industry settings. His signature strength is driving organizational performance through a balanced combination of leadership development, HR expertise, and building employee commitment. He has held senior human resources positions at Ryder Systems Inc., The St. Paul Companies, The Franklin Mint, and the University of Pennsylvania Health System and General Fiber Communications, Inc. Ed has developed HR strategies in the United States and Internationally.
A retired Lieutenant Colonel in the Army, Ed has over twenty- six years of leadership experience. He is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, holds a MBA from Temple University, certifications from the Human Resources Executive Program at the University of Michigan, Defense Race Relations Institute, The Center for Creative Leadership and The Human Resources Certification Institute, Senior Professional in Human Resources.

Carole Johnson is the Executive Director of Women Organized Against Rape (WOAR), a non-profit social service organization, which provides comprehensive support services to individuals who have experienced sexual violence in the Philadelphia community.

She is currently serving on the Mayor's City-wide Domestic Violence Task Force, the International Police Association of Police Chiefs, Violence Against Women Advisory Board, and the Anti-Violence Partnership Interfaith Project Advisory Committee, member of A Better Philadelphia, Inc, and member of Mothers in Charge.
Johnson is the recipient of the Philadelphia Coalition for Victim Advocacy Katherine Bachrach Award for outstanding community and systems advocacy; the Women's Anti-violence Education Award for Community Leadership; the WDAS "Ordinary Women Doing Extraordinary Things" Award; The National Sistahs Award for Outstanding Community Leadership; the Soroptimist International Women of Distinction Award; The Fraternal Order of Police Community Service Award; and 2005 Governor's Citizen Crime Prevention Volunteer Recognition Award.
Prior to joining WOAR as a volunteer in early 1990, Johnson spent many years in the corporate sector as a Director in the areas of human resources, public relations/public affairs, marketing, college/university relations, and finance. She was hired to the WOAR staff as the Associate Director in December 1990 after taking an early retirement from AT&T. She was appointed Executive Director in June 1996.
Johnson received her formal education from the University of Pennsylvania and paralegal certification from the Philadelphia Institute.

Lisa Ulmer, Sc.D., M.S.W. Dr. Ulmer is Professor and Chair of the Department of Community Health and Prevention at Drexel University School of Public Health, with primary responsibility to develop and lead the DrPH Program in Community Health and Prevention. Her academic credentials include a BA in Natural Sciences from the Johns Hopkins University, an MSW in Family Mental Health from Catholic University, and a ScD in Psychiatric Epidemiology from the Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health. Dr. Ulmer has developed public health and health policy doctoral programs, as well as numerous experiential learning opportunities for undergraduates and graduate students, NIH Minority Research Fellows, National Medical Fellows, and Preventive Medicine residents. Dr. Ulmer has extensive experience designing and directing epidemiologic and prevention research, including universal and targeted intervention strategies, population-based and facility-based surveys, direct observation, focus groups, data management of multi-method multi-wave prevention trials, analysis of change over time, economic evaluation methods, and multi-method strategies for disseminating research results and policy recommendations to the scientific community, policymakers, and community groups. She is currently the Principal Investigator of five grants evaluating the impact of major statewide or citywide interventions designed to transform public systems of care towards prevention. She served as the Associate Director and co-PI of the Johns Hopkins Prevention Research Center from its inception through 1996. Recently, Dr. Ulmer was honored to be one of six scientists featured in the NIDA documentary for the Junior Scientist Program, “Brain Power.” Dr. Ulmer is a member of national advisory boards for internet-based prevention initiatives, websites for practitioners interested in developing prevention programs, and websites for new and minority researchers. She is a scientist advisor for the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy National Youth Anti-Drug Campaign, recently working on the Teen Prescription Drug Abuse Ad Campaign debuting during Super Bowl 2008. She has lectured extensively on research methods and research proposal development and served as a research mentor for federally-funded initiatives to enhance research at Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

Vince is a founding partner of Devine & Powers Communications Group, LLC, a public relations firm headquartered in Center City. Launched in 2003, D&P has nine employees and represents clients including Firstrust Bank, Philadelphia Media Holdings (owners of the Philadelphia Inquirer and Daily News), Maaco, Penn State Smeal EMBA, and Sunoco,
among others.
Vince has more than 15 years experience as a public relations consultant with firms in Washington, DC and Philadelphia. Throughout his career, he has specialized in corporate,business-to-business and crisis communications, and has provided guidance and counsel to clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies including McDonald’s Corporation, Mobil Oil and Johnson & Johnson, to non-profit and association groups including Schuylkill River Development Corp., Computers for Youth and Metropolitan Career Center.
Prior to launching D&P, Vince was president of BTC Public Relations in Wayne, Pa. representing regional and national clients including The Melrose Hotel Company and
Reliance Standard Life Insurance. Previously he was vice president with Tierney Communications in Philadelphia and launched his career with Porter Novelli in Washington,
DC.
Vince also serves as an adjunct faculty member at Villanova University where he teaches Introduction to Public Relations to communication majors.
He is president of the board of directors of Delaware Valley Habitat for Humanity, and a member of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce Small Business board of directors.
In 2005, Vince was named a recipient of the Philadelphia Business Journal “40 Under 40” award, which recognizes the region’s most accomplished young professionals who are proven performers in both their industry and community.
Vince holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and Classics from Gettysburg College, Gettysburg, Pa. and a Masters degree in Business Communication from Temple University, Philadelphia.

Natalye Paquin is the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Kimmel Center. Ms. Paquin is responsible for operations and facilities, venue sales and client management, and marketing and communications.
Before her work at the Kimmel Center, Ms. Paquin was the Chief Operating Officer of the School District of Philadelphia where she oversaw a $400 million organization with over 4,700 employees. Reporting to Ms. Paquin at the school district were the departments of personnel, purchasing, information technology, school safety and facilities. Prior to coming to the School District of Philadelphia in 2002, Ms. Paquin held several positions of increasing responsibility with the Chicago Public Schools. From 2001-2002, Ms. Paquin was Managing Deputy Commissioner for Transportation at the City of Chicago. She first entered the public sector as Regional Attorney with the U.S. Department of Education, Office for Civil Rights.
Ms. Paquin earned a Juris Doctor degree in 1986 from DePaul University, College of Law, Chicago, and a bachelor's degree in 1981 from Florida A & M University. In addition, she completed an executive education program at Harvard Business School in 2003. In 2004, Paquin was honored by the Philadelphia Business Journal as a 2004 Woman of Distinction.
She is actively involved with the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Kimmel Center's Education Committees, the Philadelphia Mural Arts Program, Philadelphia Boys Choir, Center for Emerging Visual Arts, the Forum for Executive Women and City Year, Greater Philadelphia.

Philip R. Goldsmith has held senior positions in a broad spectrum of fields including law, journalism, government, banking, and human resource consulting. In his executive and leadership positions, he has helped implement significant change, while emphasizing teamwork and a shared vision.
Most recently, Phil was Managing Director of the City of Philadelphia, responsible for overseeing the 13 operating departments of the city. As a member of the Cabinet, he reported to the Mayor. Previously, Phil served as Acting Executive Director of Fairmount Park, one of the largest urban park systems in the world. From November 2000 to December 2001, he served as Interim Chief Executive Officer for the School District of Philadelphia, the nation's seventh largest school district.
From 1997 through November 2000, Phil was managing principal for Right Management Consultants, a global human resources consulting firm headquartered in Philadelphia. He was responsible for overseeing the company's MidAtlantic operations. Prior to joining Right, from 1994 1997, Phil was chief operating officer of Diversified Search Companies, an executive recruiting firm. For 12 years (1982 1994), Phil was an executive officer of the PNC Bank Corp. During that time, he held several senior positions responsible for large operations, including its branch network in Philadelphia and its $7 billion consumer credit business with facilities in more than five states. He also served as president of PNC National Bank, the company's credit card bank. In addition, he oversaw PNC's civic, community, and governmental affairs in the Delaware Valley. From 1979 to 1982, Phil was Deputy Mayor for Policy and Planning for the City of Philadelphia. In that role, he was active in issues involving economic development, education, transportation, housing, and regional cooperation.
Phil has been an award-winning journalist working at the Philadelphia Inquirer as a reporter and as an editorial writer. From 1973 to 1976, Phil was executive director of The Philadelphia Bar Association. Phil has been active in community affairs. He is a former Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Free Library of Philadelphia and was a member of the Board of Directors of INROADS, and The Urban Affairs Partnership. Phil also served on the board of Philadelphia Futures and sponsored and mentored a high school scholar. Phil currently volunteers with Project H.O.M.E. and the Mural Arts Program. Most recently, Phil volunteered in Louisiana, helping the Red Cross in its hurricane relief efforts, and Costa Rica with Habitat for Humanity. Phil is a 1966 graduate of Pennsylvania State University and received his J.D. degree from George Washington University's School of Law in 1969.

President and CEO of ABP, Inc.

Dr. O'Brien has over 19 years of experience in the field of public health, with particular emphasis on violence prevention and health communications. Her main focus now is to explore ways in which human rights and community health can be achieved together, in all cultures. Her work began in the public education arena developing and pilot-testing campaigns to increase public awareness of depression and breast cancer screening practices. Other topics of research and program implementation have included the effects of parental alcohol problems on children's development, women's health as related to domestic violence, and healthy communication skills. Dr. O'Brien's current area of interest is the development of a coordinated response system (health care providers, police, DA's office, and judges) for people experiencing domestic violence. This work, which included providing cameras and training to the Philadelphia Police Department with support from the Philadelphia Foundation, has wide implications for policy development and best practices. For her work on this project, Dr. O'Brien recently received the Governor's Award for Crime Prevention and a letter of commendation from Senator Allyson Schwartz (October 2004).
Dr. O'Brien has been responsible for numerous program evaluation projects including process, outcome, and/or impact evaluation of 1) the MCP Hospital Domestic Violence Task Force, 2) Peaceful Posse for Girls, 3) the Domestic Violence portion of the Drexel University College of Medicine (DUCOM) medical school curriculum as designed by the Women's Health Education Program, and 4) The Center for Women's Health at MCP Hospital. Dr. O'Brien completed a three-year, CDC-funded evaluation of the Dating Violence Prevention Project with Women Against Abuse (WAA). This educational program served over 3,500 middle school children in the Philadelphia area. In addition to this project at WAA, Dr. O'Brien has supervised over 15 graduate student projects related to domestic violence including the design of a domestic violence training program for clergy, and the development of best practices in service delivery to women and children experiencing domestic violence.
Dr. O'Brien currently serves as a Board Member for Women Organized Against Rape and has served as a member on the Board of Directors for the National Clearinghouse for the Defense of Battered Women and for Women Against Abuse. She is involved with the Philadelphia Health Department's Division of Early Childhood, Youth, and Women's Health in addressing issues of domestic violence in Asian communities in Philadelphia. In May 2002, she was inducted into the Hygeia Honor Society for her work in public health and is the recipient of the 2001 Jonathan M. Mann Award for Public Health and Human Rights for her work in domestic violence. In May 2004, she was honored with a special commendation for teaching from Dean Marla Gold, Drexel University School of Public Health.
Dr. O'Brien earned her PhD in Behavioral Science from the University of Auckland in New Zealand in 1994 and her Master of Science in Psychology from the University of Auckland in 1990.
